My Division III Project will be the continued development, with intent to license, of a board/card game I created in an independent study last year called Dragon Duel.
The Project will consist of SIX main areas that are listed below. After each bullet point there is a textual icon representing the chair member responsible for its supervision.

Intellectual Property
- Continuation of Patent Journal (C)
- Research on Trademark and Patent for game(C)
- Research Utility/Design Patent for game board (C)
- Copyright latest rules & game board (C)
Market Research
- Research the gaming community G!
- Research the gaming industry and its future G!
- Research potential buyers for Dragon Duel (C) and G!
- Write short papers summarizing my findings (C) and G!
Game Development
- Create more versions of the game G!
- Find artwork for a new card deck G!
- Experiment with other methods and materials for the stringing the board (C)
- Find more economical game pieces (C)
- Create the Beta 2.0 rules, and revise based on playtesting G!
Beta Testing
- Choose focused groups of playtesters G!
- Seek out those playtesters G!
- Schedule playtesting groups G!
- Review playtesting data for further development of Dragon Duel G!
Surveys
- Create 2 surveys. One free-response survey to be given after a week or more of game play and one short survey to be filled out during each game session. G!
- Compile data from the general game player survey that has been on www.dragonduel.com since April 2001. G!
- Statistically analyze surveys and report how the results will influence development and marketing G! or (C) ?
Game Research
- Research general game design principals G!
- Research the structure of games by learning how to play more games G!
- Document my findings in short summary papers and in journal entries G!
Develop and Maintain Division III section of website

- Research journal keeping track of resources as they are found G! and (C)

At the completion of my Div III, it is my goal to have a marketable version of Dragon Duel to try and license to a game manufacturing company. I realize that this is a considerable goal, but with dedication and careful time management I feel confident that I can do it.
